Pre-Birth Stage: Here Are The Reasons Behind Premature Birth!

Pre-Birth Stage: Most of the mothers do not understand why their babies are born prematurely. Premature birth is one of the most traumatic experiences for the mother and her baby. That is why it is important to understand why your baby is born in the pre-birth stage.

The main reason behind the pre-birth stage is due to the failure of the baby to get all the nutrients and minerals from the mother’s body. This happens when the baby is not able to absorb the number of nutrients that a baby requires for normal growth. The same is also true with the proteins in a baby’s body. Since there is a lesser consumption of proteins, it leads to premature birth.

The onset of premature birth is characterized by the mother suffering from low blood pressure and stress level. It is important to understand that the baby’s brain has only one half as much resources as the mature human brain. So, if this is not taken care of, it may lead to the baby suffering from mental retardation.

Sudden causes of premature birth are still unknown. Maternal depression is a very common cause.

Pre-Birth Stage: What Are The Other Factors That Can Influence Your Baby’s Development?

Another factor that can influence the development of the baby is the low amount of vitamins and nutrients present in the mother’s diet. That is why it is necessary to ensure that the mother gets plenty of nutritious food intake every day.

The other factor that makes premature birth possible is the frequent use of alcohol and drugs in the mother. In the modern world, mothers find it more convenient to use these substances, and therefore, they put the baby in more danger. It is important for the mother to keep herself away from harmful substances.

Other reasons behind premature birth are genetic causes. In some cases, the baby will suffer from cerebral palsy and cerebral aneurysms.

A common problem of premature birth is the condition known as amniotic fluid embolism. In this condition, the blood supply is cut off from the mother’s body by the amniotic fluid, leading to the baby suffering from respiratory distress. The baby then dies due to excessive bleeding.

In other cases, the person suffers from inner ear infections or in utero miscarriage. In these cases, it is seen that the baby has a lesser chance of survival. The reason behind this is that the baby’s blood supply has been affected and it has a hard time transporting the oxygen.

What About More Severe Cases?

In more severe cases of premature birth, the baby’s head may have already developed enough to support the extra weight. In such a case, it is seen that the lungs are damaged to a certain extent. In the worst cases, the baby’s brain is not even formed, and it dies due to lack of oxygen.

The incidence of premature birth is much lower nowadays due to improved prenatal care. But it is still a cause of concern for the medical community. Because of the proper diagnosis and treatment of early babies, many babies have been saved from the pre-birth stage.

Hence, proper nutrition, a clean environment, and rest for the mother’s body are needed to prevent premature birth. The most important thing to remember in this situation is that the baby must be looked after as soon as possible. Do not fail in looking after the baby as he or she grows up.
